Today we took Corey to the doctor to get a note and set things up for him to go on short term disability. The problem is that because they went into his legs to get the tendon, he can't really wear boots until things heal up a bit. This means money is going to be tight -- but I found a few books at Goodwill today that I couldn't resist-all half price, so about 2 bucks a piece! First, I found a big book on jousting and tournaments, a book that has actually been on my wish list for a long time. Then I found a book on the history of Italian Americans, one that I hadn't heard of. That is a strange thing in itself! It looks like an excellent book, very comprehensive. Then I found Golden Hind, which is a collection of Elizabethan poetry. Now, I'm not a huge fan of Elizabethan anything, but I picked it up just for the geek factor. Lastly, a copy of Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, which is a wonderful book to just open up and get advice from.

When we got home, Corey and I picked up a pizza from Godfather's. I approve--and I'm picky about pizza. I prefer new york style, but the godfather's one is quite tasty. I'm all fat again, by the way. I haven't done a workut in about a week, and I've been munching more than I should. I know some of it is stress eating because Corey is home--did I mention he is driving me nuts? I love him though, and I'm so grateful that he is okay.

Well thank you. I apparently won for most spirit, but I think people just liked my costume. :)

I wish you had come out! The next event we are looking at going to is the Puppy play demo and party on the 13th, and then the Halloween party.

I am glad to hear your husband is doing better and may he have a speedy recovery. Pizza, I am quite picky too. My favorite is the pineapple either from Pizza Hut or Lily's Pizza( a vegetarian place). My husband loves new york style. Congrats on winning for the most spirit for your costume.
