Being sick.

It's weird, because just when I think I'm starting to feel better, I have to run off to the potty again!

Anyway, at least I'm a lot less dizzy and lightheaded, I've been drinking lots of Gatorade, and that has seemed to help.

Obviously, I've not been working out, but I'm eating less, so I guess that's the trade off until I feel better. I actually miss the workouts, not like I love them or anything because I don't--what I love is being done with my exercise for the day, the sense of accomplishment, that I did it and I didn't make excuses. But I can't do any workouts just yet. I did watch a DVD I rented, called Dancer's workout, which I think I can handle, there's very little jumping, and it has elements of modern dance, hip hop and even a little belly dance-ish stuff in the routine. We'll see.

By the way--if you haven't read the book The Princess Bride, you must! Of course, I'm a big fan of the movie, and it's been on my 'to be read pile' for a while. I picked it up yesterday because I wanted something light since I didn't feel good.

Best book for being sick ever, seriously.

Read it!

There's lots of stuff not in the movie, and if you get the later editions, you get the 'first chapter' of the (as yet unwritten) sequel, Buttercup's Baby. Definitely worth seeking out.

I have been filling out my nutrition pages over at Spark, just not the fitness one. I am forcing myself to stay with at least that much of the routine. This is when I cop out every other time I get in a good rhythm of working out; I get sick and then I just fade out. Not this time!

Keep me honest--and see how much soup and water I've been eating! This morning I made myself a mango lassi, and boy was it good! I'm not sure if it helped or hindered things, but it was so yummy I'd do it again.

I'm supposed to start teaching a new class over in Hermitage, but I am waiting to talk to the owner again, to be sure I have students waiting. I'm planning on running this one closer to a curriculum, since these folks will be paying in advance and are less likely to miss classes--we'll see what happens.

Oh, and this finally came:

It's awesome! I didn't expect Urban Tribal to be on it, for one thing. I am also, once again, totally in love with Zoe Jakes. There's something fiery about the way she dances, that puts her way past Rachel in my book--of course Rachel is stunning as always, but Zoe....well, she makes me quiver. ;-)

Well, it's not a real sequel, it's just the first chapter, and it is a real cliffhanger. Goldman has said he would like to finish it, but he hasn't made any move toward doing so.

Yeah, he's kinda an ass that way... OK, so it's probably a good thing I don't have a newer edition then!

Oh, I think it's worth the read. It does make you want more, that's for sure!

I really really really hate reading teasers! One of the reasons I never read Harry Potter was that the whole series wasn't out yet... I try really hard not to get myself into "cliff hanger" situations. Not that that works out so well most of the time, but I try.

Oh! Then don't read it. :-)
