Neptunalia!

jademermaidAs usual, I worried myself into a tizzy over nothing. I had plenty of people, and we had a fine time! The food was yummy, the ritual went off without a hitch, and we all got to hang out together and enjoy the beautiful day. Thanks to all who made it out, see you next year (in Florida? Haha!)

Aries always has to check out what's going on in the shrine. He looks so small here, haha!
This is the table I set up, but this is just the appetizers, I should have taken a picture when we had the shrimp boil stuff out. But hey, you can see my awesome Walmart fabric find that I used for a table cloth. Yay!
He are some of us chillin' under the umbra. It really was a perfect day.
The ritual was short and to the point, just how I like 'em. I still think it was pretty though. I felt my breath catch as I read my version of the Orphic hymn, but I made it through without screwing up!

mezzanotterose found this great little fuzzy ram at a garage sale, and gave it to me as a gift on Friday. She thought I collected little sheep, but the truth is that my black sheep collection is from my early twenties, when everyone considered me the black sheep of the family. Anyway, we figured out that the ram must have showed up to be sacrificed to Neptunus, but everyone wanted a picture before he went to the fire.
