Corey's Surgery.

First of all, he is okay.


Secondly, we are back to square one with his finger.

When the surgeon got inside, he saw that the leg tendon he'd put in last time was stuck in the tendon tube, which was why it wouldn't move and the previous surgery failed. In order to get the leg tendon out, there was a lot of stretching and pulling and trauma given to the tube, so he decided to put the silicone linguini stuff back in and let things heal up. The surgeon is not happy, Corey is less than happy, and I'm just trying to keep things going around here and not think about it. He will be back in therapy for 8-12 weeks, to keep the tendon tube supple and the silicone rod moving. Then he goes back in for the toe tendon surgery.

Corey's folks are visiting, which is nice because I'm distracted - Rose keeps me distracted too, thanks, woman. We did some shopping while Corey was in surgery, and then last night I did a little sewing of doll clothes, which is a great distraction. I will have to post some pictures later on.


So, yeah, we still can use your good thoughts and prayers.

By the way, this weather really needs to clear up, it's not helping my mood or my arthritis.

I want dancers, vendors, actors, magicians, weirdos, vampires, poets, zombies, goddesses, demons, lords, winged things, performance artists, klingons, browncoats, atlanteans, fairies, freaks, geeks, hot chicks, cool boys and warm bodies, aliens, goths, lycanthropes, pimps, wimps and imps, bloodlusters, changelings, hobbits, trolls, gamers, hackers, girls and guys gone wild, cavemen, kings, queens, wolverines and merchant marines!

This one will be starting a bit earlier than our normal gatherings, so people can still go out afterward if they like. We are planning to start around 5 PM. Supervised children welcome!

I would love for people to bring decorations and Halloween desserts and munchies. If this is something you'd like to do, please let me know so I can get an idea what sorts of things we will have coming so I can better prepare.

Also, if you are interested in pre-ordering a Stellaluna t-shirt ($20), long tank($15) or hoodie($40), I have decided to go ahead and do it this way. I really wanted to print them up out of my pocket and have them for sale at the haflas for everyone, but things around here are tight with my husband's recent surgeries (he's doing pretty well, by the way!).
