I'm about 2/3rds done.
They are fat and fluffy and frizzy, but they look like they are actually holding pretty well. I may have to do some extra work on the ends over the weekend, but I can at least get an idea of how they will look and I luuurve them!
They are like little people, each with tendencies to fall one way or the other, and some wanted to be two instead of one, so I let them tell me which way to go. I am using a bit of soy wax from a soy candle to help me keep a grip on them when I palm roll, and that really seems to help.
No matter how much I backcomb, there's always more to do!
I started at the nape of my neck with my baby rolls there, which I can tell are going to be the bad children. But I did figure out as I worked up my head what the best way is to get them to hold together.
Backcomb, twist, backcomb, roll, backcomb, twist, backcomb, roll. That seems to be the sequence that works!
