Jan. 17th, 2007 10:52 amYep, started late last night. yay.
I used to say, "Well, it's better than not getting it at all (i.e. being pregnant), but now I find myself looking forward to the days when I won't get it because my body is done with the babymaking phase. Babies are great if you are into it, but I'll be 42 next month and the best maternal instinct I can muster is that maybe I'd like to teach them, I do like that. But the whole idea of being pregnant, breastfeeding, chasing a toddler and dealing with screaming makes me want to run away---quickly. It's a good thing I haven't had a child, I know. Rose always says if I have a baby she will raise it until it is 5 and then she will give it back--to her that's the fun part. Yeah, she's crazy! :-P
Class last night went well, Sarah, who is deaf, came back after being away from class a long time. I feel badly because I define her as the deaf girl in my head sometimes, but she is an incredibly sweet and happy girl, who picks up moves so blazingly fast it always amazes me. I admit, I would love to get her into troupe dances one day, because the idea of a deaf dancer performing thrills me to no end. She feels the beat through the floor and is super observant--which would make her an awesome tribal dancer if she can get to class regularly. We will see.
Rose and I watched the third disc of I Claudius last night, which gets into the sordid mess that is Caligula. I am totally hooked at this point, and can't wait to see the next part. We thought the Sopranos premiere was last night, but it turns out that it is the reairing of the 6th season, the last episodes actually air in April! That's okay, I still want to watch the sixth season, I know I missed some of it, plus it will get me back in the swing after the year's hiatus. I know they are a pretty cartoonish stereotype, but I love the Sopranos, bite me.
Okay, I'm going to do a quick workout today, nothing too crazy.
